How Chikitsaalye Works
A single platform connecting patients, doctors, and hospital operations — reducing waiting, eliminating information gaps, and making every handoff visible.
Choose your role to see how it works
Chikitsaalye serves three different user groups with tailored, role-specific workflows.
Check doctor availability before you leave home
Open Chikitsaalye on your phone or any browser. Search for your hospital and department. See in real time: which doctors are on duty, current token numbers, and estimated waiting times — before you travel.
Register and receive your token
At the hospital, register at the OPD counter or via the kiosk. Your token is linked to your ABHA ID or a temporary number. Track your token status on your phone — no need to stay in the waiting area.
Consult, get prescriptions, and track tasks
After your consultation, your prescription, follow-up tasks, and lab referrals appear on your Chikitsaalye dashboard. No paper prescription to lose. No guessing about next steps.
Receive your reports and download records
Lab results are uploaded directly to your Chikitsaalye profile. You get an SMS when reports are ready. Download them anytime — no return trip to the hospital just to collect a paper report.
Start your OPD session with a full queue view
Log in at the start of your OPD session. Your dashboard shows today's booked tokens, total registered patients, estimated completion time, and any urgent alerts — before you call the first patient.
Call next patient with full clinical context ready
Click "Call Next" to bring up the next patient. Their prior visit history, active medicines, pending lab results, and previous notes load instantly — reducing the time spent asking the same questions at every visit.
Document, prescribe, refer — all in one place
Write consultation notes, issue prescriptions, order lab tests, and make referrals directly from the consultation workspace. Everything is timestamped, linked to the patient record, and visible to the receiving department immediately.
Manage ward rounds, tasks, and discharge
For inpatient care, the Rounds view shows all your admitted patients with daily task checklists, investigation results, and discharge readiness status. Initiate discharge summaries and track pending approvals from the same interface.
See live hospital load at a glance
The admin dashboard opens with a real-time overview: total patients registered today, OPD queue depth by department, bed occupancy, and any pending escalations — all on one screen.
Track patient flow and identify bottlenecks
The Patient Flow view shows average time from registration to consultation, lab turnaround times, and discharge process delays — by department and over time. You see where patients are getting stuck before it becomes a crisis.
Monitor discharge blockers and bed availability
The Discharge module shows every patient who is clinically ready to be discharged but is blocked by administrative or logistical reasons — pending summary, pharmacy, billing, or transport. Resolve blockers from the dashboard.
Generate programme and compliance reports
For NHM, TB, maternal health, and NCD programmes, reporting compliance is tracked automatically and exportable for district-level submission. No manual compilation at month-end.
One system. Three roles. Shared information.
Chikitsaalye is a coordination layer — not three separate apps. All roles see the same data from different perspectives.
